Crowdstream- Two Hungarian crowdfunders will be supported financially based on the decision of the international Evaluation Board

The Hungarian field mission was taken place on 1st February 2019 in Szombathely hosted by Pannon Business Network Association (PBN).  The main objective of the event was to involve project partners in PBN’s Pilot action itself as members of the Evaluation board. Besides, participants could get acquainted with the definition of Initial Coin Offering Institutions (ICOs) and the usage of cryptocurrencies due to PBN’s external expert’s presentation. The expert highlighted the difference between crowdfunding and these new kinds of investments.

In the framework of PBN’s Pilot action, a certain amount of financial support shall be provided to

crowdfunders

, contributing to conducting their crowdfunding campaigns. During the field visit, the International Evaluation Board (involving Austrian, Bulgarian, Croatian and Hungarian members) announced the two Hungarian applicants as winners, so both applicants won the requested amount for the preparation of their crowdfunding campaigns.

The applicants are Hungarian filmmakers, one of them is planning to make a movie called “Savaria” which intends to show the life of a Roman legionarist who is trying to survive in a land ruled by barbarian tribes.  He was requesting    financial support for the preparation of a concept trailer of his movie.

The other crowdfunder is also making a film, called „The Surreal Project” which is going to be a feature horror movie.  He was asking financial support for the preparation of marketing materials and purchasing of technical materials more specifically appropriate camera, stabiliser, and filmmaking scaffolds to use them in his feature horror movie.

Both crowdfunding campaigns will be conducted until the end of May and the film shootings will be done in summer 2019.
